wow I’ve been “emo” 4 like 4 years now and I’m able to laugh about it. Some of these are so stereotypical sure but if you can’t laugh at yourself it will only hurt more when others laugh at you, just stop taking ureselves so seriously.
You sound so sad when you get pissed off at people for writing this sort of stuff, i know, i used to do it too but when you’ve been doing this as long as i have you reach a new level. Most of you guys are still in the “you dont fucking understand, I hate you all, I’m totally emo and I have to proove it every second of every day” phase. Soon you will realise it’s better to show the way you really feel instead of pretending to be depressed all the time. I sometimes have to take anti-depressents but when I don’t feel down I’m fucking high as a kite and I show it, and you know what, it’s feels better than when I first started being emo and went around pissing my mate of going “ooh I’m so fucking depressed, I wanna die right now!”
I hope this helps some of you and if I’ve offended you, move along to the next phase cos no one gives a shit, don’t be fake, be yourself, for your sake not anyone elses, especially not mine.

Some of these aren’t “emo” quotes at all. But others.. I can really connect to.
People around me call me emo.. but honestly I’m not. I’m just my own person. Just because you listen to rock, heavy metal, and/or screamo and possibly wear black most of the time doesn’t mean that you sit around all day weeping in a corner, cutting yourself. Sure I have cut myelf a couple of times.. sometimes leaving scars.. but I do it because of all the people who continously shut me out just because I’m a little bit different. Why do so many ignorant people like to tease others about their differences? I can’t help it that I’m different. I am just who I am.
I wish I could find someone out there that could understand that.

emo is like a culture ite the music u listen 2 it cud b the way u dress (i dont dress emo if uhad 2 walk in2 me u wud neva kno im emo i dont show but @ night in the dark im revealed) but its a culture its everything its the way u walk its not about sliting ur wrists
